Northside Hospital Perinatal Resources

Northside Hospital Perinatal Bereavement Office

This is the website for the Northside Hospital Perinatal Bereavement Office (located in Atlanta, GA), also called H.E.A.R.T.strings. I happen to love referring people to this site because this group is who helped support me during our journey. In fact, this phenomenal organization still continues to send me literature relevant to our pregnancy losses—something I appreciate even though our first pregnancy loss was almost 15 years ago. They organize meaningful events to honor babies who have passed, as well as provide other remembrance programs, offer support groups, blogs, book recommendations, information for family and friends, resources as it relates to the grieving process and so much more. Regardless of the stage of your loss, they cover the spectrum—from infertility and early miscarriage to palliative care for babies who are diagnosed with a fatal disease, to SIDS. You do not need to be a patient of Northside Hospital in order to participate in, or benefit from, their services.

I believe so strongly in their program that I offer a signed copy of my book, Making Angels: A Story of Blessings on Our Journey to Have Children after the Heartache of Infertility, Miscarriage, and Late-term Pregnancy Loss, for a slightly increased price. BUT . . . I will donate $5 to the H.E.A.R.T.strings Perinatal Bereavement Fund for each of those sales. These funds are used to provide bereavement training to hospital staff, purchase printed grief resources for families, keepsake items for bereaved families, and other perinatal loss supplies. Thank you for considering making a donation to this awesome group of people who are here to support us.
